As such, RentalWise offers an onboarding flow within the platform to guide you through the initial steps.
While we recommend an online video session for onboarding when you sign up, we understand and appreciate your time. This article is designed to assist you in your first interaction with RentalWise and help you explore its functionalities.
Getting Started: Essential Steps
The following steps will ensure that you gather the basic information about the platform's functionalities and have everything ready for use:
1. Set Up the Legal Entity
Creating a Legal Entity allows you to manage your finances based on your business model. It also enables you to connect your Stripe account (our official online payment processor) to each Legal Entity added and manage your properties accordingly.
2.Link Your Stripe Account
After setting up your Legal Entity, link your Stripe account to each or the only Legal Entity you created. (Learn more about this process HERE).
3.Rental Agreement
Having a Rental Agreement is beneficial not only for your website but also for your integration with VRBO. We provide a default template that you can adjust to meet your needs. You can access the template here.
4.Payment Schedule
By default, two payment schedules are available. We recommend reviewing and customizing them to ensure they align with your specific requirements.
5.Taxes & Fees
Setting up your taxes and fees before going live is crucial. You can configure up to six types of taxes (as a percentage or fixed amount) and choose to exclude them from the price if needed. For fees, you can add, edit, or remove them and select which channels they apply to. (More details HERE).
6.Languages
To help you distribute your properties in various locations, RentalWise offers an Integrated Translation Tool. This tool allows you to translate all platform and website information into multiple languages.
7.Website Generator
RentalWise provides you with a free domain for your first website. This will help increase direct bookings, allowing you to customize the site according to your needs, control SEO-related content, and even add Google Vacation Rentals.
8.Online Check-in Configuration
Setting up your check-in configuration before going live is highly recommended. This feature enhances guest engagement and management, allowing you to request important information (such as ID or citizenship) and customize the check-in page to suit your preferences.
9.Integrate Airbnb & Import Properties
Once you have covered the basic setup, you can integrate your Airbnb account and import properties. This creates a sandbox environment where properties will not be active immediately, allowing you to explore settings and become familiar with the platform.
10.RW Billing
To ensure continuous access after your 14-day trial, make sure to configure your billing details and payment method.
