Did you know that over 60% of your property's quality when distributing it—whether through OTAs (Airbnb, BDC, VRBO etc.) or your own website—depends on the images and how they are managed? High-quality images are crucial in making your property stand out and attract potential guests.
Adding Images to Your Property
There are two ways to add images to your property:
Importing from Airbnb: If you’ve imported your property details from Airbnb, images will be automatically attached. (Read more about that [HERE]).
Manually attaching images: This is done through the RentalWise platform, allowing you to manage and update images as needed.
While the process of attaching images is simple, it's vital to ensure the highest quality to maximize your property’s appeal.
Key Considerations Before Attaching Images
Before you begin, ensure that your images meet the following criteria to avoid any issues and ensure compliance with OTA requirements:
1. Resolution: Your images must have a resolution of at least 1024x800px. This guarantees that the images maintain their quality across all platforms.
2. Quantity: Attach at least 6 images to your property. This is the minimum requirement for most OTAs and helps to present your property in the best light.
3. Image Size Limit: The size limit is 20 MBs for the imagery.
How to Attach Images to Your Property
Follow these simple steps to attach images to your property via the RentalWise platform:
Access the PMS Module: Log in to the RentalWise platform and navigate to the PMS module.
Select Your Property: Click on the property you wish to add images to.
Upload Images:
Go to Details > Images.
Click on Upload Images.
Choose to upload images from your device or via a URL.
Managing Image Order
Once you've added all your images, it's important to arrange them in the desired order. The first image in the list will be the first image displayed on OTAs and your website. To manage and rearrange your images:
Click on Manage under Images.
- In the top right corner of each image, you'll find a Pinch option that allows you to drag and drop the images into your preferred order.(Highlighted Green)
- You can also select images from the top left corner to delete them.(Highlighted Red)
Assigning Images to Specific Rooms
After uploading and arranging your images, it's recommended to assign specific images to the rooms in your property. This enhances the presentation and clarity for potential guests. Follow these steps:
1. Scroll down to the Rooms & Sleeping section.
2. Click on the Image UI next to each room, which will open a new tab.
3. Attach images from the property's gallery that correspond to the room.
You can attach as many relevant images as needed.
To de-attach an image, click on it again. In the new tab that opens, click on the Edit button to unassign or assign new images. Selected images will be highlighted in green.
By following these steps, you'll ensure that your property is visually appealing and meets the standards required by OTAs, improving your chances of attracting guests.
