Having a clear understanding of what you can customize in RentalWise is key to making the most of your setup. Property Types help guests make informed decisions by providing accurate details about your listings, which can significantly impact their booking choices.
For example, while some may use the term bungalow loosely, a true bungalow has specific architectural features: a single-story structure with a front porch and overhanging roof supported by beams. If your property is mistakenly listed under the wrong type, guests searching for a bungalow may overlook your listing entirely.
π Note: If you import your properties from Airbnb, the property type is automatically set based on Airbnbβs settings.
You can verify or update the Property Type in RentalWise by:
1. Going to PMS > Select Property > Property Information
2. Selecting the correct type from the Property Type dropdown menu
1.Navigate to Settings > Property Types > Add Property Type
2. Assign it to your property by following the steps above
β If you manage multiple property types (bungalows, apartments, villas, etc.), consider creating property collections to help guests filter their search. This also improves SEO performance on your RentalWise website. (Learn more about Collections & Website SEO .)
β If youβre using Limited Sync with Airbnb, Booking.com, or VRBO, changing the Property Type in RentalWise will not update on your connected channels.
By properly categorizing your properties, you increase transparency, improve guest experience, and enhance your booking potential! π
